the new song is ok though.
i dunno
for a start, i don't think they're pretentious, just daring to do something a bit different. i didn't get into them until i heard the devil's crayon, but it's a really strong album too.
i like devils crayon
but the usual singer sounds dreadful.

I think its terrible terrible music
I could only muster about half of two tunes on myspace before vowing never to try again it was so bad.
generic indie by numbers
with wanabe Anthony and the Johnsons singing.
I like Anthony I think hes got an ace voice, but Wild Beasts just dont have the songs to pull it off.
i think that's a fair assessment of that first single they released
but their latest single (devil's crayon) is amazing, and couldn't be further from indie by numbers. they're a good band i think
