Still means he's out of the DiS pro-an club
he's no professional athlete!
Let's settle this:
Alex do you still smoke?
i smoke
can i be in the club
Ahhh...not really, but........
technically yes in so far as I still smoke occasionally, usually when confronted with sunny weather and a beer garden!
In short, yes, but I'm in the smoking TA (weekends mainly).
Zonino will be a major challenge.
hi alex
hows bournemouth
Nice and sunny today.......
May go to the beach in a minute, there's no surf though today.
I am
working on a design for Sea Road Generation, Bournemouth. Right now. Thought of you when I opened it, actually.
Ask her out, silly.
There is no girl, I was just trying to make
doctornovocalcord's ultimate nightmare thread of inanity!
Ahhh....is that in Boscombe, the reef development by any chance?
I stand corrected, there IS surf!
do you surf
Yes, Bournemouth is soon to be the proud
location of the Northern hemisphere's first artificial reef, I'm semi excited/semi apprehensive about it.
The trouble is, that lots of the locals just don't get it, they seem to think that it's going to be like Hawaii's North Shore or something.
They haven't grasped the fact that whilst a reef will amplify existing waves, it can't magically produce waves on it's own accord!
You're making me very jealous
that you live near Boscombe reef. What do you mean it won't be like Teahupo?!
I live on the edge of Winton so
it's only about 5 minutes drive away, but I'll be moving to Boscombe seafront soon so should be able to walk to the reef from the new houseshare in a couple of minutes.
Ha! There are so many people who think it's going to be 30 foot waves day in/day out, it's comical.
So this isn't a fair representation
of what the waves will be like?

I feel cheated! Also, you're a lucky, lucky man to be living 5 minutes walk from it.
Ha! Rather closer to this I'm afraid.......

you should go to portugal
its really good for surfing
it would be pretty awesome if bournemouth turned into a northern hemisphere equivalent of hawaii though wouldnt it, have people started greeting people in the street by saying 'aloha'
that was a response to alex not usa_nails
Never been, but everything I've read/seen
about Portugal's breaks looks incredible.
It's definitely on the list of must visit spots for me.
Ha! Well, Bournemouth is a poser heavy locality and a significant number of people are all 'Hey brah, you been shreddin' the gnar today man?' already, it can only get worse.
if you do ever go this is a local speciality in porto you should try it 'brah'

:D
may as well
nobody cares
go to a fucking doctor
^ ignore this man

where's the fun in that?
i want them to sell those ice-creams shaped like feet

funny feet?
Isn't that a medical condition?
yes! they were so incredible
favourite ice-cream next to mini-milks
i tried to google a picture but only found this

who is this fat kid? he keeps turning up all over the internet
oh, yeah, i read the wiki on brian. ha ha ha! sorry.
his feet aren't that amusing
the rest is though.

Walls Funny Foot!
Sadly, they seem to have disappeared.
I need to check out the new Walls summer range
There definitely don't seem to be so many novelty ice lollies these days since Magnums and their poncy ilk took over.
This is true.........
it's all about the 'premium' ice creams these days.
It sucks really, there are many things I look for in an ice cream, but a 'reassuring expensive' price is NOT one of them!
* Fanny
so which DiSer would you most liek to rim?
Didnt realise you were actually from Bournemouth
You support them Cherries?
I watch them occasionally........
although I wouldn't say I'm a supporter as such.
I'm moving to Boscombe soon (it's not that dangerous anymore!) so may start to go more regularly.
Good good
You sure it isnt dangerous in Boscombe anymore? Why you moving there when there are so many other good places to live?
Also, and dont take this the wrong way, dont you find it a bit dull there?
I loved it but felt like I was missing out on a lot so ended up moving. Can see the appeal though if the beach is one of your main hobbies etc.
Yes, they've sorted out a lot of the street prostitution
and open drug dealing, lots of investment is pouring in too so it's not the hellhole it used to be.
Ha! Don't worry, you won't cause any offence, I can't stand people who won't have a word said against the place they live, simply because they live there.
Bournemouth is alright, obviously it's very pretty, I love surfing and mountain biking and it's pretty good for both. I love having rural Dorset on my doorstep and easy access to North Devon/Cornwall at the weekends.
Additionally, whilst it's not exactly great or even alright for gigs here (although it's picking up) I can go from my house to the Southampton Joiners in 30 minutes which is pretty convenient.
Also, if you fancy a change and book a week in advance a return coach ticket to London is 14 quid and takes 2 hours which is pretty reasonable, so I'm frequently in London at weekends, especially during the summer.
So, upsides and downsides, nowhere is perfect, but Bournemouth has a lot going for itself and it appears to be on the up.
My girlf has asked me to mention
that when we last whent to Boscombe we went to this amazing cafe. It was all the way down, on the right hand side towards Christchurch. Wish I could rememebr the name.
Hear you though on all of that - good town.
Was it on the seafront?
The other one I'm thinking of if the Portuguese place on the main road leading through Boscombe towards Southbourne, incredible coffee.
No, was on the main road
the same road as, err, you know, the main one. It was very english, had nice soups and paninis and stuff but is better than that sounds.
Had lots of tea you could buy and take home.
Quite a long way down on the right. The only other notable thing was that to go to the loo you had to walk through the kitchen!
don't do it, you'll get the cooties!
