  • don't trust tinys

    divulge?

    • arsenal want peter crouch

to replace adebayor. (if he goes)

      • Theo and Crouch

        this would look lovely!

  • I heard Spain are going to sign Ronaldo

  • i heard the Germans have bought Podolski?

  • wtf

    how is adebayor worth 30m+???

    • because

you get to the end of the season thinking he played really shit, then realise he scored lots of goals.

      • how many last season?

i remember he did a lot of good goal scoring when arsenal were actually trying to win the league, but thought he only got about 15...

        • More like 23.

this is a guess but I can guarantee he got at least 20.

        • i dunno, i think it was 20 something.

i wouldn't be too fussed if he were to leave. he's asking for the same salary henry was on because he's been a 'replacement' for him this season. what a cock.
it's about time arsene decided to spend a little bit more money than usual to get a world class goal scorer in though.

          • 30 in all competitions i think

          • that's lots of goals

            i didn't realise.
haha he has a point. all premiership footballers are cocks though and they all want more money (especially if you can get it)

            • well he kind of has a point.

but henry used to change games, adebayor just scored when we were playing well anyway. he also fucked up lots. there are so many reasons he doesn't deserve henrys salary.

      • *missed

    • doesn't matter

v.persie will actually have an injury free season and piss all over adebayor's 07-08 performance

Vela will become the new "wenger wonderkid"

      watch

      • Vela won't.

we've discussed this before. FM hopeful.

        • Has he not ben given the number 12 shirt?

          No significance in that?

          • he has indeed.

but i don't think he'll feature much. although to be fair i've not seen much of him play, so maybe he'll prove me wrong.

            • He'll play a fair bit I think.

He's had a really successful season on Spain.

              • If eduardo recovers

to his pre-injury form and forms a settled partnership with v.persie than all is good.
how likley is this to happen?

              • aye.

i've heard he has done well for osasuna. but didn't they get relgated? will be interesting to see how he fits in with better players.

      • arsenal to finish 3rd/4th again then?

        • 2nd this season.

          • above who?

          • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

            No

            • how's that being the unreasonable?

Chelsea will lose lampard this summer. provided we have a more injury free season than last year then we should do pretty well.

              • Chelsea might not lose Lampard

and even if they did, they have Essien, Ballack, Makelele & Mikel plus I'm sure Scolari will bring a couple of quality players in.

                • i think losing Lampard would affect them quite a lot.

plus remember that we were top of the table half way through this season, losing to man u and then the eduardo injury just seemed to kill their spirit.

                • just let me have some hope!

              • ^

                I concur
                Chelsea are a fragmented side
Drogba and Lampard score half their goals and they will probably leave!
                Boswinga is not that good
Cech will have a traumatised season post euro2008 howler
Schevo will fuck off back to italy or the new football superpower that is Russia
Makalele is too old (see France euro2008)
                SWP will go to villa
                Terry will go into rehab
Ballack's hair will stop him from seeing properly
Malouda is just shit (see France euro2008)
Essien will get banned for 27 matches for taking out the entire Hull side with one tackle
                :D

                • hi 5^

                • right I'm only going to address the serious points

                  -IF Drogba & Lampard leave...IF!

-Bosingwa IS good, he was impressive during Euro 2008, his defending could be a little better positionally but he should improve in that area and is still better than the majority of right-backs out there at the moment.

-Cech is still a world class keeper, he'll be fine, I don't see the Euros having long term affects on his prerformances.

-Shevchenko is shit so who cares.

-Makelele is not too old, he still does the job required of him. France relied on him to be the playmaker that isn't what he's best at.

                  • Fair points

I support Leicester City so i'm allowed to take the piss because my club is so shit
Fucking League 1......have you seen the clubs there?!? I don't even know where half of them are?!?

                    :(

                  • one of those 2 will leave.

Bosingwa really isn't that good. he's alright, but i'm not fussed.
Cech will be fine, and he is still one of the best keepers in the world. definitely somewhere Arsenal are lacking as well.
Makelele is too old, as is most of the french team.
I just think that Arsenal are much more of an attacking threat than Chelsea, so if our two best strikers don't spend the majority of the season injured, we should do pretty well.

                    • yeah but Chelsea get the job done

been there done it, they know how to win games. Arsenal have a chance to do well but I wouldn't hold too much hope for them finishing above Chelsea or Man Utd.

                      • i reckon it's gonna be the most even season for a while.

especially if Liverpool decide to sign some players that are of the same standard as Gerrard and Torres.

    • that's what's Arsenal spend on steroids

to make him grow so big so fast...
They just want their money back !

  • Christian blood Vieri

    to HULL! ha ha....

    • ^

rumours been going on for SIX months
      it ain't gonna happen

  • I can't be the only City fan

getting a bit fed up of the whole Jo saga.

the deal has been a couple of days from completion for a month or so.

    • It's the only way Man City know how to do things

see Sven saga circa Jan 2008-May 2008

      bad times

  • * Nasri will be shit for Arsenal.

    * Coupet will sign for a mid-table team and be put back on the bench after a couple of games.
    * Cisse will find a shit team where he will be shit.
    * Bernard Mendy will sooun make angry one team's supporters and laugh all the other teams supporters...

    • i'm about Nasri.

      fingers crossed.

      • i'm also worried about Nasri.

        bugger.

        • If Adebayor is a good example,

Arsenal will make Nasri gain 30 pounds in 3 months...
          He actually needs that...

          • football needs more fat people.

            bring back neville southall.

            • I was thinking

              30 pounds of muscles...

    • why will Nasri be shit for Arsenal?

      • because :

        1. he's not that good
        2. I don't think the english game suits him ( would have probably be better suited for Spain )
        3. there'll be other people playing his position and he's not used to having rivals.

        • Isn't he Hlebs replacement on the right wing?

So his only positional real threat in theory is Eboue? poss Walcott.

          • He sure can't play in right wing

            ...

            • He can't be any worse than Eboue though,

              can he?

              • i hate Eboue.

                with a passion.

              • He could be...

or he could be great. He's not the finished deal yet but I don't think he has improved much in the last two years. And he's physically fragile.

        • ...

          1. debatable
          2. I think it suits him as much as it suits Hleb and if Hleb goes to Barcelona (which he presumably will) then Nasri will slip into the void left perfectly
          3. is it not possible competition will force him to up his game?

          • true...

            we will see...
