Hunger strikes!

Argh! 9.38 and I'm already hungry. I had breakfast as well - a couple of weetabix. I gave up with shreddies as they failed miserably to keep hunger locked up til lunch.
What time do you normally get hungry in the morning?

      I usually wake up as I'm really hungry and need some food. Maybe I should have an extra meal before sleeping.

          I'm trying to gain weight, I'm always hungry but I don't get enough time to eat, and it's expensive having 5 meals a day.

          • Eat late at night then.

            You'll get fat in no time at all!

            • If I cook that late I never end up washing up..

              ..and with the credit crunch, I can't afford enough food. Usually if I eat late it's no more than a bacon sandwich. Though I did have about 7 pancakes one night last week.

              • Eat lots of jacket potatoes covered in butter then.

                Cheap as chips and bloody easy to make.

    but if i do have breakfast i'll get hungry again about 11 and then force myself to wait until half 12

  • I've been up all night

    Had some baked beans with the sausages around 5am - only 4 sausages in the can, was aghast.

  • breakfast at 7:30am

    fruit at 10am
    lunch at 12:30pm
    fruit at 3pm
    dinner at 6pm

    unless it's a weekend, when it's this:

    breakfast at 11am
    cookies at 11:30am
    handful of stale crisps at 11:33am
    coffee and paracetamol at 11:45am
    panini at 12:30pm
    coffee at 3pm
    finish stale crisps at 3:09pm
    dinner #1 at 5pm
    dessert at 5:14pm
    slices of cheese at 6pm
    decide to make it a cheese toastie at 6:08pm
    feel bloated, so only snack on pistachios
    pistachios make me hungry, so yoghurt at 8:21pm
    milkshake at 8:40pm

      Tea at 6.30pm

    I have to munch my way through fruit, raw veg and Nutri-grains to not pass out before lunch.

    muesli/toast in the morning
    banana and sometimes hula hoops at 11 tea break
    lunch at 1
    apple at 4 tea break
    tea at 7 or so

    plus snacks if i'm hungry.

    so plus snacks.

    At which point I figure I might as well leave it to the evening and have something hideously unhealthy.

    It works in a 'not really ever getting hungry' kind of way, but fails big time in a 'keeps you with some degree of good health' way. But luckily for me, I just really can't bring myself to care about the latter one.

    it takes me so long to get ready in the morning I very rarely have time for breakfast. Which is a bit daft, but I think I just enjoy sleeping more than eating.

    so the oly thing worse than the humilation of paying for a train ticket with at least £2 of shrapnel is the horrific fact that I will be having NO FOOD TODAY :(

    although I have a habbit of when I start to eat I find it very hard to stop, if I don't I find it easy.

    i used to eat nothing till lunch (1) with the occasional exception of an apple or some toast at 11 or so, because i just couldn't bring myself to eat in the morning, even though i knew i really should. then i went mountain walking for a month, and it's pretty much impossible to walk for a few hours, have a lightish lunch, walk for a bit longer and then get to your evening destination without a pound or two of porridge sticking to your ribs.

    Since then I've been pretty good in the morning, though I have to force myself on occasion (especially as muesli gets a bit dull sometimes). but it's worth it.
