Starting philosophy+french in September.

Could drastically change by the end of the 4 years though.

latitude 01

360

i'm not settling for anything less.

I am three years into

a BA(HONS) in Sculpture. Awesome.

Politics & IR

Hahaha, that was a waste of time.

Brilliant 3 years though.

is it wrong...

that it sounds appealing?!

what,

having an art history degree, working for a risk company or being like edward nortons character in fight club?!

the job...

..sounds like it could be interesting for at least 5 minutes. I work in a hospital. that is most definitely NOT. FUN.

its not very interesting

i check up on peoples employment history and identity and boring shit like that. you never find out anything juicy...except for the fact that a lot of nigerians get their friends to phone up pretending to be university registrars, and kids from certain east london colleges tell porky pies about their a level results :(

...

i get to look at pictures of nasty injuries / conditions. I also learned that my smoking habit will definitely result in a very swift and very painful end. Good for weight loss though! ha.

there have been some rather nasty...

gashes.
I work in fracture clinic so i see a lot of people with barbaric looking external fixators (i.e metal screwed into their heads etc etc)
I also used to work in lung cancer. Not nice. 14" tumours...

I have a degree in interior & spatial design.

The job I do now is not totally unrelated, but it has certainly swayed from the "interiors" route.

BA Politics...

Currently temping (no job at the moment), before starting an MA in Journalism in September.

Same here.

Now an accountant.

Pretty cool eh?

sociolology degree

social research methods masters, I hope to be a social researcher but think im kidding myself

MA Experimentlol psychlology

MSc Health Psychology
Hopefully PhD Health Psychology next year

Clean driving licence
Adept in software applications including the internet, Minesweeper and Mario Kart 64

Was the LOL intentional?

I guess so...?

I did two of them so yes

I just think it is the most stupidly titled degree ever. Basically means "we don't discuss Freud".

pretty much SNAP

Although I have deleted minesweeper off every Windows PC I have access to, and I was never no good at MK64. The internet also loves me like a sunbeam.

I have a series of learn-at-home French CDs, that counts right?

i have the same degree as whiterussian! (or half of it)

BA (Hons) Language Studies and Cultural Criticism. Not a degree that has "employability" written all over it. spent 6 years in a job i hated and then managed to find my way to a job i like. Both totally different from my degree.

^5!

although i've only finished my first year of it. it might not have employability written all over it, but man, i'm having a lot of fun

exactly

three years of FUN and then having to put up with a low paid job for a few years >>> three years of ENGINEERING and then straight into the grind.

MA Hons English Language & Linguistics

PGDE English

They are directly related

I suck at academic achievement.

I have two diplomas:
Psychology
and Emergency Planning.

i have

MA Spanish & Portuguese
MSc By Research Hispanic Studies

short term the job i'm about to get is related and long term i'm probably gonna try do a PhD

BSc (hons) Comp Sci and a BA (Hons) Music and Recording Arts

Kinda use both only the first one gets me money to spend on gear for the 2nd :P

Hi, you called?

FEEL MY HONS

AND MY MA

oh hang on...

Just finished

Property development and Planning BA (Hons) with an MA in Planning

lol

good look finding a job

I have just got one

and its good:)

sorry that was harsh

but property people make me wanna spit razors

yeh me to most of them are bastards

one of which I am not, its a stable job for me, but never the smug faced arse the stereotype is attatched to. The job I have is a useful one in affordable housing.

I also have a Planning BA (Hons)

I've been working as a Regional Planning Assistant for the last year, I leave in 18 days and start my MA in Planning in September.

the planning MA is pretty good

where you studying at?

Mechnical Engineering MEng

heavily tilted towards biomedical stuff

Now work in a hospital, in a small workshop in the basement, designing/making things for wards, rehab devices, adjusting stuff like wheelchairs, mending beds, gas flow equipment and whatever else the nurses break. So got pretty lucky with that.

At least normally. Today and yesterday I've just been sitting around as no-one else is here and I have to man the phone in cae there's an emergency.

errrrm

not a lot really.

That you're

EXTRA ACE

Media Technology & Sound Engineering BSc (Hons)

MEGALOLZ.
But am intending on doing English Lit, Politics or something soon. Just cause I'm bored.

I really really really should've done Graphics or similar. Now I am too old and I will have to work down the pit to pay for my childrens education, then force them into a career that they loath so i can live my life through them.

I think thats what my parents did with me

Now I've got a mishmash of qualifications and experience.
Jack of all trades, master of none. Which makes plotting a career path rather aimless.

I have a degree in Physics.

Next year I will be taking a PGCE in the same subject.

Ed Balls wants me to have a masters and still get paid an average salary. Ed Balls can fuck off.

ignore him

he has a silly name.

I used to work with someone called Joy Balls.

BA English w/ Cultural Studies

but i don't really tell people the Cultural Studies part.

BSC Maths & Philosophy

i now work in admin. it's amazing.

The government really screwed up on it's justification for higher fees.

Graduates earn more, fair enough, but not when every fucker has one and they include rectal refloxolgy courses.

computer games design

:)

was it good?

are you a games designer now?

i'm still doing it

but yeah it's very good, i'd definitely recommend it.

1st year

into a BSc hons. in geography.
and its FUN.
but i don't know what to do after :(
hey ho.

MSci in Microbiology

Trying to finish DPhil in Immunology

BA (Hons) Politics

I'm now a civil servant. :(

Journalism with English BA (Hons)

not quite sure what to do with it to be honest.

I don't know yet

I'm worried that the open university courses I am chosing won't add up to a specific degree and I'll end up with an 'Open Degree' and look like a total flake that no one would employ.

But obviously I'll have written my book by then.. pffft

I'm not sure how the OU works

but won't you be able to 'top yourself up' with other modules if you need to?

also...

Im doing a BA Hons in Music Technology and Innovation.

LLB Law

Going into 3rd year.

I have a Law degree

woo woo

classics and english.

ba. well, it turns into an ma after a few years, but it doesn't really count as one.

Wildlife & Countyside Conservation

I don't have a job at the moment but I'm looking to do work in that area, as I have done in the past.

1st year law

HATE IT
no intention of doing anything law related...but hope to be vaguely employable...

Hispanic Studies ( + english)

in september

im doing law at the moment

im pretty sure im not going to be a lawyer when i leave though

BA (Hons) Fine Art

MA Curating Contemporary Art

..la di da

American Studies,

I've just finished my first year of it, got another 3 to go (I get to spend a year studying in America). As for a career, I really couldn't care less about one if I'm honest. I have no interest in earning big sums of money or having some high flying career, unlike most of the people I live with who seem only to be at university so they can get a "good" (ie well paid) job at the end of it all and have some nice career path to follow.

doing business computing and IT

currently in my 3rd year, on placement at a reasonably well known aerospace company working in supply chain.

The only thing i have decided so far is i don't want to work in supply chain.

BA Journalism, Film and Broadcasting - an epic waste of time

MA International Journalism - thankfully, of use.

Luckily I bagged a decent job at the end of it, which is surprisingly rare for those doing journalism courses. I should have studied history or a language at BA level, though.

I have a BA (Hons) in Theology and Religious Studies

I am not religious. I work in publishing, specifically Children's Books publishing. It is very fun. Today our marketing director dressed up in one of our new character suits we recently had commissioned... tee hee...

LLB law at undergrad

LLM law (or Oxford equivalent thereof) at the moment
PhD law next year

I anticipate getting a job that's pretty much totally to do with these, which would probably be a good thing after 7 years in total :P

BSc in Physics

PhD in Theoretical Nuclear Physics

I am now an office worker.
