Londoners, where's good in Camden on a saturday night?

I know friday is the best night for Koko as it's the indie night.

Was thinking underworld maybe for saturday?

Any further suggestions for a good indie/rock night on saturday?

  • koko? camden?

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

No where. Go somewhere that isn't really fucking awful and full of the most disgusting and degenerate losers in the entire world. Camden is the most unprogressive, backwards looking, self congratulating wanker orgy in all of London. Go somewhere else. Srsly.

  • ewww

    haha no where.

  • the underworld is horrible on a saturday

but i guess if you like club nme you'll enjoy it.

  • absolutely nowhere

  • does it have to be camden?

dublin castle, but its very busy.

bar monsta, cheap, empty and shit metal

    \m/

    • the good mixer

followed by watching a shocing bad indie band at dublin castle... you can't beat it!

  • Crikey, strong opinions on Camden here

I much prefer it to the west end tbh as it's easier to navigatate around and the pubs and bars aren't all stupidly over priced.

Club NME is a bit limited in terms of variety but it's not all bad. The first dong i heard when i walked in last time was 'waiting room' by Fugazi. A welcome change from the Fratellis and the like!

  • The bus, travelling away from it.

    • you're after

      my heart.

      • Don't you know most

of us DISers never go out. We stay at home wanking over Okkervil River covers on the internet and making snobbish comments about anything remotely popular

        • ^absolutely

this. apparently camden town inspires moronic hatred from people. probably thanks in large part to nathan barley.

          • I thought Barley

lambasted the Shorditch/Hoxton idiots. Infact, I was strolling around Shoreditch t'other day when I saw a dude on a bike with a beer keg as a front wheel. Crazy.

            • ^ yes, nathan barley has nothing to do with camden

the Crown & Goose is a nice pub, if you're into sitting and drinking like an old man. The Enterprise can also be fun.

              • Saying that...

The Lock Tavern is basically The Nailgun Arms.

        • sigh

why are there so many stupid people in the world?

          • the Elephants Head

            is an alright pub.

  • There's nowhere 'good'

but you might find something good on, if you catch my drift.

Usually better if you just fancy a pint. Though I'm a sucker for the '5 shit bands in a night' deal the Dublin Castle usually has on offer. But then I'm like that.

  • i'm going to stay beautiful at the purple turtle on saturday

    massive fail/win

    • RAIN DOWN ALIENATION

      2-FOR-1 VODKA SHOTS
      2-FOR-1 VODKA SHOTS

      • oh god

plus all the other androg-indie music they'll play. Garbage, Suede, Mansun...they won't play King Adora...will they? *shudders*

        • you have to get

molested by two members of the band just to get in

        • king adora once played there on new year's eve

imagine if they played over midnight itself - they'd be both the last band you saw in one year and the first band you saw in the next.

          weep.

  • Edinboro Castle

    is a good pub.

    Though not particularly indie/rock.

    • not in camden

      get the hell out.

    • Edinboro Castle

Is WELL busy in nice weather and the staff take AGES to serve you BOOZE. Bah! It is nice though!

I don't really like Camden at weekends. It's better on weekdays. At weekends I'd go... I dunno... somewhere else.
