I'm probably going to regret this for like the next 3 years. Or possibly forever if he decides to sack in touring after this - always a distinct possibility.
They came on about 8:50 - did 45 mins then had an interval then played for another 45. Good mix of material, the Distortion stuff sounded much different as it just banjo, cello and piano. It wa SO good though. I want to go again.
in the gallery, the view was a little restricted, just to forewarn. However, the performance was beautiful - didn't expect entirely acoustic set, but it worked well on newer material too. Top stuff.
right of stage, block C, I think. It was just that Mr Merritt, celloist, guitarist were kinda beneath us. So, other side, or towards back of hall would be better!
Got home and grabbed a ticket for Friday.
The sound in the venue is just so clear - and their voices, Stephin, Shirley and Claudia, all sounded absolutely perfect.
As well as MF stuff, they also did a 6ths track, a Future Bible Heroes song, and a couple off the Gothic Archies album about the Series of Unfortunate Events books.
Papa was a Rodeo the absolute highlight, for me.
Support are 7:45
acording to my ticket so I guess around 9 for MF?
I'm very very excited.

Is there a show tonight then as well?
I'm there tomorrow, and could not be any more excited. Who is supporting by the way?

That sounds incredible.
God, I wish I was going. Why aren't I going? They're my favourite band! Maybe I can still go?
No, I can't. BALLS.
I saw them 4 years ago at the RFH, Papa was a Rodeo was absolutely incredible then too.
Why can't you go?
I would recommend that you go.
No money.
Too far away.
They're the main ones.
I suppose I could go if I left NOW, and skipped the train fare by hiding in the toilets, and then slept in the train station after...
Best not.
As someone not all that familiar with the band
They were really great. If I had the cash, I'd go again tomorrow. So want to be Stephen Merritt when I grow up.
