Jeremy Warmsley / So So Modern / Esser / Absentee / Liam Finn

Not a JAG. Just looking for some opinions on the bands and their live performances to help me decide whether to go or not. THANKS.

If you like acoustic shows - this is great.

Absentee are my favourite.

Excellent.

Thanks.

I've seen this

Liam Finn is far better live than on record, lots of loop pedal action and portable theremin solos. Absentee, as long as Dan's baritone vocals don't get swallowed in mix hell, are impressive. Esser's too Audio Bullys. So So Modern have a really good lengthy motorik workout and the rest of it is shouting over Errorsy synths. J-Wo is ace, but you should know that, and live everything's stripped down to a rhythm section and himself on guitar/keys - he's been doing a solo 5 Verses too.

Exactly what I was looking for.

I'll probably go now. Thank you both.

I agree with all this

Apart from the Esser thing... can't hear Audio Bullys at all. It's pure pop.

if esser is ben esser

we played wiv him not to long ago
was really impressed!
