just watching a live concert in Montreux on tv, and seriously, fuck all these hardcore and emo bands that "put everything into their performance", this guy seriously looks like he means what he's singing, he manages to be SO intense without throwing himself about, especially on the slower more epic songs.

My favourite Marvin story
When recording one of his albums (I forget which just now) the producer looked down at the desk. All the dials for the vocals had the needle pinging up and down into the red REALLY LOUD ZONE. Producer looks up through the glass.....can't see Marvin. Stands up. Marvin lying on the floor stretched out, eyes close wailing on the song. Voice so good that he could lie down and still break the machinery.
That's just a techy story, you are right but he feels/conveys the feeling of the song so well.
