Hello. Brain tired. Body tired. Head hurting. Ears ringing. Actually collapsed outside Market at 8.30 due to aching feet. Will Sheff, despite it being medically impossible, I want to bear all of your children. More some other time.

the music on the main stage was pretty terrible throughout (Winchell Riots, Bump Band to name a couple), with the exception of the masterful Okkervil River, who were the clear festival highlight. A brilliant set from them.

Also enjoyed Pivot, Ulrich Schnauss, Kyte, the Early Years.

Tent crime seemed to be worse this year. I had ONE of my £130 boots stolen from my tent and a chair. Fortunately, I found the boot a hundred yards away near the chair. But they decided to break the chair first. Which was nice.

Okkervil River. Just all of it, but especially the So Come Back I Am Waiting/John Allyn Smith Sails segue. (But not the bloke walking on stage making "'avin' it!" gestures at the sound desk during the not noticeably Fratellis-like A Girl In Port. Where the fuck did he come from?)

It seemed like childish, idea-less improv to me. No tunes, no textures, just 20 minutes of horrible noise that couldn't be called music. The band members didn't seem to care either.

last night? We left after Get Cape and security were searching all of the cars for "something" which had gone missing from the backstage area. Must've been pretty serious if they were going to that sort of trouble

either them or Buttonhead were the best. Rolo Tomassi, This Town Needs Guns, Johnny Foreigner (despite how fucking short it was) were also all tops, and I really enjoyed These New Puritans too, perhaps despite my better judgement at times haha. Massive shame about Cats In Paris though.

Had a fantastic weekend, saw some great stuff - Rolo Tomassi were very cool, The Strategy (early Sunday morning in the Barn as part of Truck Club Juniors) sounded like Biffy, Daedalus was weird and wonderful, Walter Schreifels was the perfect soundtrack to the sunset, all in all, a memorable festival. And how about that weather, folks? I had to apply aftersun when I got home!

maps, okkervil river and riz mc were my highlights. mephisto grande and thomas truax were also good

not sure if i'll go back next year though. it's fun, but there isn't any wow factor to it. 4 years is enough

Owned it. Best thing I saw by far. Was great to see Johnny Foreigner outside for the first time too.

Where the fuck had the trailer park tent gone? That was always the best stage. Even if trailer park weren't running the stage any more they could have kept the tent, surely? The one they replaced it with was tiny.

Anyway, still had great fun as usual. Anyone else see Dodgy? DOO DOO DOO DOO DO DOO DOO DOO DOO DO GOOD ENOUGH!

but a little underwhelming perhaps. It was my first Truck and i found it a little heard to kinda work out what the atmosphere was all about - i didn't really settle into it straightaway.

Anyway, my highlights were:
- Frank Turner
- Danny and the champions of the world
- Chap from rival schools whose name i can't spell so I'm just going to call him Walter Schmeichal
- Laura Marling sounded quite good but it was pretty quiet and i couldn't see jack shit.
- Little Sister

Most of the other stuff i saw was a bit meh.

I only saw their last song. Rumour was that it would be the Magic Numbers...but it wasn't.

My friend went and didn't get a copy of the programme. He keeps badly describing these bands to me with no idea what they're called. Grrrrr.

Anyone know the name of the band who were 'quite heavy' 'not really my type of thing' and chucked a can of cider at a girl in the crowd.' 6pm Saturday in the Barn apparantly!!

First time in years.

not amazing. no trailer park was bad. the security meatheads almost spoiled it at points too, especially the guy who tried to stop the rolo tomassi mosh pit.
the line-up wasn't really amazing and the crowd seemed to have got worse/less 'truck'-like. probably won't go again.

I had a great time. I'd agree that maybe the lineup wasn't great, and all the 'star attractions' weren't that stellar (Okkervill River, Lemonheads, and Camera Obscura, for example, were only 'ok' in my eyes).

Did anyone else see The Youngs Plan in the Barn on sunday morning? I had this vision of the 'Truck Club Junior' being a few local underage bands with too many guitarists playing rubbish covers. But of course I was wrong, and actually they all impressed me a lot - The Youngs Plan were particularly great, probably one of the better bands that weekend.

Tom Truax is a genius. Fonda 500 are brill. Maps were awesome.

i really enjoyed seeing Buttonhead, Okkervil River, Walter Schrifels and Johnny Foreigner.
although, i only drank tea for the whole thing and felt slightly emo on both nights. hmm.

GOOD THINGS:
Okkervil River. It was so wonderful to see them play against a beautiful sunset. And they did So Come Back I Am Waiting!!

JoFo. FINALLY got to see them. I don't think I've ever been this excited about a British band before. They make me feel like nothing else, I swear my heart was pounding through my chest for their entire set <3

The Lemonheads were completely euphoric, everything a festival headline set should be.

Other good musical stuff - Fighting With Wire, Frank Turner, This Town Needs Guns, etc.

Camera Obscura were really disappointing, obviously there were other crap bands but I expected them to be better for some reason

I met....

My second Truck and I had a great time. Looked forward to a handful of things before going - Youthmovies, Johnny Foreigner, Frank Turner - and they all lived up to my expectations. Surprise awesomeness for me would be Pivot (Aussie Battles-esque three-piece) and YACHT, who I expected to be good but was just blown away at the end of the night.

Youthmovies, Laura Marling, JoFo, Okkervil River, So so Modern were all highlights!
Best truck I've been to, I didn't see any of the security problems...
I didn't know Cats in Paris was canceled, I thought I'd missed them, was gutted!
So glad I won tickets :D

yay in particular for So So Modern, Rolo Tomassi, Youthmovies, Ulrich Strauss and ofcourse Munch Munch whose cup of free orange juice from backstage makes up for my lack of guestlist pass.

daedelus was probably my highlight, though general hate towards public increased when a randomer chucked beer over his obviously expensive equipment.

walked past the dis dj set to mike going into a song with the lyrics "sexual eruption" (don't know it) and the ENTIRE tent clearing. :D

generally awesome festival. my face LIT UP when i saw let's wrestle were added; and they were brilliant.

it was Truck again this weekend!
