Industrious San Francisco noise-pop monsters Deerhoof follow up last year’s Friend Opportunity (review) with Offend Maggie, out on October 6 through Kill Rock Stars/ATP Recordings.
Ever outside the box and familiar with the perils of releasing a record and it leaking before they’ve even finished the blighter, Deerhoof have decided to make the lead single from album #9, ‘Fresh Born’, available for all – in the form of the sheet music. Dem silly.
Using the score, fans and foes are encouraged to write their version of the song and upload an mp3 of it for all to gawp at on the CASH Music website, here.
