-
Yay!
Pretty non controversial, apart from the classification of M83 as electronic/dance (not a bad album though)and of course the insufferably boring Bloc Party.
-
Hey Lads
Look, we've got a White Stripes fan calling Bloc Party/any other band insufferably boring. Pot. Kettle. Black.
-
"Female Artist Of The Year:
Neko Case"
i am genuinely pleased about that :)
-
yes but
Neko is a goddess who deserves everything good to happen to her forever.
But did she actually DO anything last year?
-
-
If M83 isn't electronic what is it?
And wasn't that album from 2004?
-
-
Plug
I voted in this but apparently for the wrong candidate in every category. Go USA. Go me.
Sleater-Kinney 'punk album of the year'? Snigger.
I knew they'd win something but had them down as a banker for 'most teeth-grindingly annoying festival set of the year'.-
How can
artist of the year be Bright Eyes, but male artist of the year be Sufjan Stevens?
-
bright eyes
sounds more like a band?
conor is a eunuch?
i dunno-
The
Sleater Kinney album is their least punk one.
-
I was
thinking that.
Its still a fantastic album though, it just doesn't sound very punk.
-
-
Bright Eyes IS a band
Now.

-
6 Nominations
and nothing for The National?
for shame.
-
As much as I like the music
Was there really any need for these awards?
-
Pretty cool
although When The President Talks To God was by far the worst song Bright Eyes released all year. It, liek, doesn't have a tune at all.
-
The song isn't great
But that performance on Leno was still brilliant.
-
-
DangerDoom
equals crap.
-
To be fair
It's not often you see a list of award winners as appropriate as this
But then again, I'm reasonably drunk, so I could be speaking crap
-
-
That Iron & Wine...
...and Calexico album is sublime. Glad it got some recognition.
-
Fantomas
woop!
seem like a good set of results to me
-
hahahaha
Goblin Cock
what a great band name.
-
-
???
where is eminem on this, he is definately missin, someone phone 999!! a crime has been committed!
-
could be worse
as lists go, but they should have just not bothered with best electronic and hip-hop. because the people who voted probably only heard 1 hip hop and electronic album in the entire year.
M83 is the most ridiculously indie kid choice ever, considering how many better electronic albums there were last year. And for the record, I like M83
