Hotly tipped for 2008, Adele is a singer-songwriter from London with a big voice and even bigger potential. She won the first-ever Critics Choice Award at the annual BRIT Awards in 2008, coming top of a poll which also included Foals and Duffy. Her second single, 'Chasing Pavements', reached number two in the UK singles chart in January 2008.
