Copperpot Journals

Signed to label: Firefly Recordings

Formed in and around Rutland and Leicester at the end of November 1999, The Copperpot Journals wasted no time in recording a debut EP for Hermit Records after just two months. Whilst this didn't fully capture the power of their live sound it did help them to secure shows with the likes of Rival Schools, Boysetsfire, Cave-In, and Hundred Reasons, as well as countless shows with their future Firefly label mates Sunfactor, Scuttle and fellow Rutlanders Otherwise. Frequently namedropped by various members of Hundred Reasons as their favourite British band, the Copperpots showed the country what they could do when they opened up for HR on their November 2002 UK tour.
