After a year of solid rehearsing, Oxford-based four-piece Fell City Girl finally came out fighting in late 2003, playing support to the mighty Caretaker, tearing apart the Bullingdon Arms at local Oxford Brookes nights and garnering enough interest from Truck Records to earn themselves a slot at the legendary Trailerpark showcase night.

2004 saw the band strengthen – gigs with Haven, Jetplane Landing, Crackout, The Zutons, Eastern Lane, The Cribs and Drive It Like You Stole It, followed by a London date that earned them a single deal with Bleeding Music records. The EP will be released this summer. Invited to play Fierce Panda’s Club Fandango night in April, headlining the all-day Punt replacement in Oxford in May, and supporting ex-Fridge member Adem in June for Vacuous Pop… things are definitely looking up.

Mixing Mogwai with Sigur Ros, GodSpeed You! Black Emperor and Muse, Fell City Girl need to save you all. Their set contains ten seconds of the loudest music you’ve heard all year, and ten seconds of the quietest.
