I don't need your Civil War!
Today's tedium has just been shattered by our trainer going on a recruitment drive for his Civil War Re-enactment Society!
"We're always looking for new members!"
Really? You're struggling to find people willing to run around in a field with other 'enthusiasts', in fancy dress, pretending to have a fight?
A fight where you know who's going to win!
And why bother re-enacting it regularly? Do it once, video it and sell that to anyone who's really that bothered about seeing it.
He's also a third dan in Ju-Jitsu.. but he wont answer the question as to whether or not he could kick Van Damme's arse.
I don't think he could.

My second cousin
used to be a member of a 'fantasy battle enactment' society. Kind of like dungeons and dragons.
He made chainmail out of coke can ringpulls.
