I bought this from the charity shop today. it has a nice comment from Hubert Selby Jr on it and i've just been reading about the spurious life of JT LeRoy. I'm well excited about reading it now :D:D:D

it's okay
Dave Pelzer for the indie contingent
and it's written by a woman. There is no J.T.Leroy.
hence his life being spurious!
is Dave Pelzer not real either?
also, how can anything with a nice comment from Hubert Selby not be good?
hmmmmm
not to be negative, i just found the book a bit garish. i think half the pleasure came from thinking it was true (i thought at the time before JT's identity was revealed)
have you seen the film? i wouldn't mind seeing that
dave pelzer is real
have read interviews with him. haven't read his books though and probably won't get around to it
they look fucking gassssh!
i shall report back when i've read it i guess.
it looks pretty exciting tho
and Hubert Selby <3
it is gasssssssshh!
david peltzer was faking
his brother said, and then he said his brother was "semi retarded" but it turned out he just has a skin problem
pelzer
is really, really bad
that was my point
Dave Pelzer for indie people - basically wanky, my mummy hit me and covered me in tar abuse-porn for people who like Of Montreal
HOTT
the film's terrible
really awful. but then i hated the book.
asia hater : (
I've got that
Sarah's better I think.
oh god
this book is so completely the sort of thing you'd love.
i think that's an insult
it is, isn't it?
no
it wasn't actually meant to be, i can just imagine it's the sort of the thing you'd get really enthusiastic about, that's all.
I can see it as the kind of thing
Tristan might write.
srsly is all you can do be nasty, judgemental and condescending to me tom?
But you just said you liked the idea of it
it's a really good book
and the film has <3 ASIA ARGENTO <3 writing, directing and starring and being hot. and it's crazy depressing
Tis a good book
I prefer Sarah thought. Film was a bit dull. Anyone read Harold's End or Labour? I never quite round to it. Are they worth getting round to?
