For John Peel Day - which was apparently last Thursday, completely missed it unfortunately - i've put together an mp3 mixtape compilation thing of bits of the shows i've managed to download. Most of it is from this century as i only really started listening regularly about eight years ago. In the words of jimitheexploder, i've not done much mixing on it so i can let the songs breathe and speak for themselves.

Im sure a few years back they made quite a big thing of John Peel day, whereas this year no-one seemed to know it was happening :(

Radio 1 had loads of things organised and special shows and stuff. Not even sure when it is this year.
