• you polished an epileptic?

wasn't that hard with the thrashing around?

    • hahahaha

      srsly though

i called an ambulance and everything

      • If you knew ANYTHING about epileptic fits

you'd know not to call an ambulance, but just to put them in the recovery position and ensure they don't hurt themselves.

        YOU RUINED EVERYTHING.

        • jeez

what a mean thing to say. he was only trying to help

          • and he failed

and potentially killed someone somewhere else.

            • actually

the man was not fitting at all (never said he was)

He was a man who was a known epileptic and had had 3 fits in the past 2 hours
He was taking a drug called carbamazepine (from a previous diagnosis in Poland) which is an auto-inducr and metabolised by the CYP450 enzyme system.
Given the man had drunk a vast amount of alcohol that night, his medication was probabaly not controlling his seizures and hence I thought it best for him to get assessed by some trained healthcare proffesionals just in case (or in the very least have somebody who spoke polish to explain the situation to him, the ambulance that was sent had a polish speaking paramedic)......hopefully i didn't kill someone else by doing this

  • My Polish anecdote:

Yesterday I was sat on my own in the canteen with a couple of Poles on the table in front. Bargain Hunt had finished, so they went flicking for something else to watch. On ITV4 was an old episode of Dempsey And Makepeace. This Polish began what can only be described as hooting before turning to me and saying 'When I was your age, we watched this all the time! Even in Poland!'

  • i hung out with

a vietnamese person, two polish people, a swedish person, a bulgarian person, a russian person and a finnish person

it made me feel a little inadequate to be the only person in the room who's only fluent in one language
