In Memoriam: Remembering the Great War

Has anyone been to see this at the IWM? I went yesterday and I was really really impressed with the exhibition. Very sobering and they seemed to get it just right with the personal angle. One story was the most beautiful and poignant thing I think i've ever read.

  • I was there yesterday too

I thought it was a sobering exhibition. I too was impressed by much of the storytelling. One section in particular caught my interest: they have a series of small items lined up each with a little note on their owner and use. For example, one was an improvised club which a British soldier had used in trench warfare, claiming the lives of two German soldiers. There's both a brutality and a poignancy.

Of course, there is the stuff on Franz Ferdinand, which was the real draw for me.
