Happy Capitalist
An independent label run from a small town called Bungay, near Norwich, by members of Alto45. We release records we love when we can, our records so far have featured Bearsuit, Fiel Garvie, The Folk Orchestra, Teruo, Shaneolinski, Alto45, Benn's Little Rebellion, Four Man Ghost and Slowloris (amongst others) We've had some of our records played by John Peel and Steve Lamacq and a stack of reviews including the NME saying our Christmas ep 'exemplifies all the spirit and zest which occasionally prevails when the major corporations are momentarily distracted from their mission to wipe them [independent labels] all out for good.' Not that our goal is to get noticed, we just want to get the music we love onto other people's record players. Releases to look forward to are the blistering debut from Evader ('Acorns & Leaves') and the beautifully melancholic Lucky Jim debut ('All The Wires in the World'), both due out in April.
