Mystery Jets cancel festival appearances
Mystery Jets have announced that they will not be playing at a number of festivals over the coming weeks, due to illness.
Vocalist Blaine Harrison (pictured) is presently undergoing treatment a reoccurring injury relating to his Spina Bifida. A spokesperson for the band assures DiS that he is on the mend, and that the band will be up and running again soon - they've a number of headline dates in October (details).
Those festival dates the band won't make:
July

3 Kendall Kendall Calling
7 Germany Haldern
8 Cornwall Ripcurl
A full statement is expected to be posted on the band's MySpace page later today.

i'm going to standon tomorrow. bit of a shame they can't make - but it sounds like a really organised event if the emails i've received are anything to go by so it should be able to cope with late loss of headliner. also, i don't think punters will go banging on the door a la WITC since this is a far more forgivable cancellation - I just hope Blaine will be ok for Field Day

Some girl just wrote a piece on finding out your boyfriend is gay and talking about the things she found 'said boy doing' like crying & wearing her make-up. Was pretty naff to be fair. There was a picture of blaine at the top of the article but I didn't make the connection.
