The Stooges are robbed; appeal for information
Posted:
A hire van containing plenty of equipment and instruments belonging to The Stooges was stolen from outside a hotel in Quebec yesterday.
Among the items now missing is Mike Watt's bass guitar - pictured - a Red Gibson 1963 EB-3 bass with no serial number. Also gone: a Reverend Flying V guitar in volcano black, a Marshall Vintage/Modern Amplifier, a Reverend Orange guitar and lots of cabinets and leads.
The van was parked outside the Embassy Suites Hotel, at 208 Saint Antoine Ouest, Montreal. The van - a Penske 15-foot yellow truck, license AC46493 - went missing between 6.30 and 7.30 am yesterday (August 4).
The full list of stolen equipment is here. If any DiS reader has any information to pass to the band, do contact Eric Fisher here.

Yep
Anton from BJM posted this on MySpace along with a full list of gear. I think it'll be interesting to see someone hawking Mike Watt's bass.
Wankers.

It's so common these days
Remember when the Blues Explosion got robbed and someone got a rare as six foot chickens 1960's theramin?
The dumbest one was when Mclusky got their gear stolen in America, then an American tried to sell a guitar in it's flight case on their boards and someone from the band replied "This wouldn't happen to be one of the ones we had stolen last year in America, would it?"
Moron of the highest order.
