Watch: Björk & Antony 'Dull Flame Of Desire'
Posted:
The video for Björk’s next single, 'Dull Flame Of Desire' is now online
Taken from Volta (reviewed) and out on the 22th September the song is a collaboration with Antony & The Johnsons front man Antony Hegarty.
As with everything associated with Iceland’s pop pixie, the video is pretty conceptual.
Three amateur directors were picked from hundreds of competition entrants and given the responsibility of producing a video worthy of the Björk’s prestigious music video library.
The two singers performed against green screen in New York then each director was sent the raw footage to edit and create their piece. The directors were each given their own section of the film to develop how they saw fit. The three parts were then edited together here in the UK to create the final piece.
Watch the video right here, right now:

What a terrible video.
Each section was worse than the last!
-

-

AND volta came out like over a year ago. -

Album was a bit meeeeh though.
Bjork rules though!

thoughthoughthough
<3 Bjork
-
yeh its just in comparison to all her other video of real quality
I heart bjork lots though
-
first part = gash
second part I though was quite good (relatively, compared to the other bits) although not enough of an idea to sustain for the entire video
third part = terrible, worse than the first
and yeah, this album came out last May

bjork, wtf?
releasing another video this long after the album's release, and when nobody really gave that much of a shit about the album in the first place, and with the video being for an album track people mostly made fun of anyway (mostly for sounding like stairway to heaven), and with the consequent video being shite anyway, is kind of depressing

This was good song in 2006
The last part of the video with the properly filmed faces morphing was good, the concept behind the 'stars' bit was good but didn't look that good, the middle but looks like someone just pressed 'contrast' about 53 times but would make a good poster.

not sure about the video
the different segements don't seem cohesive at all and by themselves they seem almost unfinished but perhaps thats what they're going for, I liked the album though and this makes me want to give it another listen.
-
you clearly didn't see
the innocence video.
-
Terrible video,
terrible song.
-
lazy?
are you on crack?
-

i like the 2nd third..
would have been cool to see some more of those bits..
