Holy Foals! Touring buddies cover each other
Posted:
If you're planning on attending any of the many dates on Foals' current tour, look out for a special purchase at the merch stand: the Oxford band and one of their supports Holy Fuck feature on a special limited edition 12", covering each other's tracks. The former tackle the latter's 'Super Inuit', and vice versa with mega-hit 'Balloons'.
And what's more, in an act of incredible generosity, Holy Fuck's label Young Turks have made both available as a free download from their website - where you can also order the vinyl if you so wish. You'll be wanting to click somewhere right about here for that.
DiScuss: who fares better? Are you going to any of the Foals dates? If so, will you be buying the special 12"? We say: do it.

if anyone
wants to buy me a copy and let me reimburse them can you messge me or summink??? I'd be grateful :D

This actually sounds pretty interesting
I really want to go to the Brixton date for Dana and Holy Fuck alone, but every time I've seen Foals I've gone with low expectations and left even more disapointed
-
i've just got back
Dana and Wild Beasts were Fantastic. Foals were average. that is all.
-
when i saw holy fuck in berlin
they played balloons as their penultimate song. was a bit weird cos foals were still quite smallish then.
-
surprisingly
foals half is ridiculously better and just straight up great. i don't know why their album had that same flat guitar sound all the way through when they were capable of this, i hope this is indicative of what their future stuff will be like
-
Holy Fuck AND Dananananaykroyd supported?
I think i want to cry that i didn't go
-
What the hell is wrong with this shitty website?
Why, for the love of god, have they uploaded their files in .aif? Why? I've never even heard of that format, it seems to slow down my whole computer when downloading it and probably doesn't even work on my media player.
-
i don't think holy fuck have ever played balloons live
let alone when foals were small. this is a pretty recent thing
-
Having said that
both songs are pretty good.
-
That Foals cover was rubbish
Dunno what the original Balloons sounds like, but that track was boring to listen to.
-
They played it live when I saw them supporting Blonde Redhead
I think- I didn't know Foals at the time but I'm pretty sure they played Balloons.
-
I think its better
aif files are the same type as are on CD's - this is not compressed into an mp3 so it will be better quality
The Foals side is pretty damn good in my opinion.
