Could..
they make Saturday any better? I don't think so.
God I wish I could go.
-
Looks like...
The CrabDiver alliance are trekking to Leeds then...!
-
Can we though?
I mean, really? I've never been to one of these... and I wanna...
...does anyone know someone that can put us up? Hotels are so impersonal and no good for post-show PARTYING.
-
ha!
i've got somewhere to stay. it's not very nice. but i don't care. because i'm going.
-
i just noticed...
Friday...a.P.A.t.T

Katie Forward Russia said she'd put us up.

free sleeping spaces at my house for anyone who wants to come.

Good to see..
..the baldy one who used to be in Art Brut is putting his time to good use.

-
true
dat ^^^
wut is 'chris chinchilla'?
-
hahaha
this has nothing to do with chris chinchilla, and we are entirely different in the way we like to go about things. chinchilla is a diy collective from leeds, we put on diy gigs, release records on vinyl and put out comics. i used to drive bands on tour, before some *****! stole my van last year and i lost out on £4000 because insurance companies are also *****!s. i'll have another one when i've saved up again. go to our website to find out more. www.chinchillaweb.co.uk
sadly, i just heard from liam of trencher that they won't be able to play this year because liam just got his hospital appointment for surgery and it's over the same weekend as the fest. they're disappointed they won't make it, as am i.
the fest will still be good though, don't worry about that!
CLECKHUDDERSFAX will also be playing at some point over the weekend, probably saturday.
-
oh, and...
when we started five years ago we'd never heard of art brut or chris chinchilla. it's a funny coincidence he has a website called chinchillamusic.com or something.
-
NO TRENCHER???
GAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaagggggghhhhhh....!
I'll still come.
I'm seeing TFT tonight.
YES. -
....
i think its "threads" not "the threads".
threads are a retro rock band from bradford. they say "yeayah baybeh", and the threads i think are from london and probably dont.
-
TICKETS
we have decided to do advance tickets for this, so if you want to be able to come to the weekend and think "yes, i just realised i already paid, now i have more money to get crunked!", keep an eye on our website so you know when they're available. thanks.

descriptions!!!
here's descriptions of all the bands playing! happy reading!!
*A.p.A.t.T.*
Operation "Total Party" from Liverpool! Sounds like every band you've ever heard chopped up into a big juicy smorgasboard of joy! Progressive noise rap pop circus techno rock jazz glitch soul lounge folk metal synth thrash video game art goth hip hop polka swing surf reggae new-wave rave dixieland gospel psychedelic waltz blues trance classical skiffle ambient house ragtime glam Mersey-beat honky-tonk drum&bass country kraut-rock be-bop dub punk fusion vaudeville gabba world music!
Fre(e EP) available for download at
http://www.feedbackmagazine.org/freep/apattagefinishing.swf*NARCOSIS*
Pedaling their brutally tight, crazy fast grind in various states of drunkardery, quite probably with some gurns and grins along the way. One of the few bands that wouldn't sound shit if they shared wax with Melt Banana - which is lucky, because they've done just that. Their new record came out recently on Calculated Risk Records, but as great as they once were, they're now even fucking better!*TIGERS!*
Aka-Funkadelic 3000 bass-less wonders of arty-party rock noise, recently returned from Euro-tour. Four fully grown men, eight hairy balls, one scientific academic wizard, one musician, one Dicko, one total dude; all adept robotic dancers with no social skills.*UNICORN LOVE*
Power electronics and damn-righteous Bible-bashing (don't expect preaching though; more likely some menacing stares and using the 'Good Book' to play some of the Devil's Chords - ominous!).*NOT IN THIS TOWN*
All over the place indie rock and dual vocals from Nottingham; Shooting Victor Francis/ex Little Girl With Cherries folk.*PIFCO*
Drums and Rickenbacker guitar duo spear-minting the grunge re-revolution; fresh! Tape cassette album out on Chinchilla-Tone Records soon!*JOEYFAT*
Compelling, story-telling adventurous indie rock on their first visit to Leeds since their 1994 tour with Green Day - not quite a once in a lifetime opportunity, but a pretty rare visit to these parts! Fierce Panda, Unlabel Records (etc).*LORDS*
Hard hitting, super rocking blues from veritable Chinchilla gig regulars... and not meaning to embrace a celebrity culture, members of this band include the legendary tub thumper Elvis And His Legendary Sideburns. New album on Gringo Records is complete A+ goodness.*CHARLOTTEFIELD*
Rare two gigs in Leeds in one week from down south's disc(h)ord-ant rock winners. Fat Cat, Jonson Family, Unlabel Records (etc).*CLECKHUDDERSFAX* (tbc)
Experimental, monolithic party pushers bringing guaranteed good times from London Town with pounding drums, huge keyboards and whacked out vocals... if they can actually play...*DAVID THOMAS BROUGHTON*
Having eloped over the Pennines to Manchester, David returns to Leeds to seduce your ears with his endearing Americana blues, soulful voice and improvised electronics.*SCARECROWS*
Expanded into a four piece, playing blissed out Mice Parade/Euphone-esque treats.*PROJECTIONS*
Repeated patterns versus short attention span. Clever versus stupid. Rock band.*EIGER*
A huge, ridiculous, technical rock mountain, complete with hill-top-village barbershop quartet - yet remain utterly oppressive. Include ex Fig.4.0 and current Tigers! chaps. Self released double EP out now!*SAILORS*
Top rocking post-indie-punk that chips and chops but the rhythmic tide never stops amidst franticly delivered vocals. Split 7" with Cowtown out on Cabin Fever/Chinchilla-Tone Records soon!*COWTOWN*
Pop-rocking musical power trio with human drum machine, snappy surf guitars and spooky keyboards. Anticipate some early afternoon dancing fun to clear your dazed heads! Split 7" with Sailors out on Cabin Fever/Chinchilla-Tone Records soon!*SENSE OR THIS?*
Improvised electronic noise and free jazz clarinet. Playing in a change-over at some point in the day. 3CD on Villla Viivivi (France) and x3LPCD+DVD on Chinchilla-Tone Records soon!*THE UNIT AMA*
Intricate, arty, often improvised winding roads of utterly brilliant, intense indie rock music from Newcastle. LP on Gringo Records. Easily one of the best bands around to provide a fitting end to the festive fun; thank you and goodnight.*THAT FUCKING TANK*
Obscene Baby Auction/Kill Yourself bods playing funky time rumblings, dance beats and impressively loud riffs. Jealous Records.*THREADS*
Purple-Flag-Lizzy ultra-rock with REAL wailing from ex-Khang, Month Of Birthdays, Snail Racing, John Holmes and Boxed In types!*THE LAST OF THE REAL HARDMEN*
Excellent loopy, twiddly guitar work from Chris of Lords, Wolves! (Of Greece), Reynolds (etc) and probably a drummer too.*THE MOCK HEROIC*
Ferocious (proper) emo punk good guys from Norwich and Leeds. No fuss - full rock. Unable to make last years fest due to a last minute venue cancellation and then being tied up with other commitments, we are well happy that they can make it this year! React With Protest and Nimbus Module Records.*THE I.K. JAN CREMERS*
Hailing from Holland, our esteemed Chinchilla friends make yet another return to rock Leeds with all their usual indie rock party tricks and quirky mannerisms. Put your hands in the air let me hear you say yeah!*ANYWAY*
Post-punk hardcore from the Czech Republic, weighing in somewhere between a primitive garage rock assault like Mudhoney and a DC fused energy kinda similar to Nation Of Ulysses or Circus Lupus.*WAR ALL THE TIME*
Inspiring new hardcore from the old-school; infamous faces from Boxed In, Kito, etc. Not a gentle start to a Sunday afternoon after two days of party action, but remember this is a three day festival where the action never stops! Rock on!
