Operator Please: Leave It Alone

Operator Please, for those fortunate enough not to have been served a limp-limbed ping-pong ball to the rectum previously, are a colour-coordinated quintet from Queensland, formed after lead singer Amandah Wilkinson decided to draft in others in the hopes of winning Elanora High School’s illustrious Battle of the Bands. They won said competition, released an EP and signed to Virgin Records. GO MIGHTY DUCKS!

Retaining the youthful exuberance of a gang of deranged toddlers ‘Just A Song About Ping Pong’ rang out with, ‘Leave It Alone’ sees the talent contest victors showing their range to the judges as the incorporation of violins and piano are showcased at a competent Grade 6 level of ability let down by a clumsy attempt to integrate some anthemic soul to the composition. Said teacher.

Whilst ‘…Ping Pong’ flaunted itself as heinous drivel, ‘Leave It Alone’ is far more shrewdly puerile.

They're like

an Australian Los Campesinos. With half as many members. I quite like this song.

this song is

nowhere near as bad as your making it out to be. i rather like the chorus - 7/10.

Yeah

This song is really enjoyable.

Agreed,

great chorus from the litt'luns.
