Stamping along at a Strokesian pace – Casablancas et al could have written the chorus if they were any good – ‘Very Loud’s marching drums pound behind an echoing, wanting vocal and rowdy arpeggio-filled verse. This tune should be on course to brighten the inevitably dreary English “summer” we're all set to endure in the coming months. Very welcome indeed.
