Captain: Glorious
Rather than barking orders at the underlings, this Captain seems to prefer the delicate approach. The third single ahead of the release of This Is Hazelville, 'Glorious' is, if anything, a gentler customer than its predecessor 'Broke'.
Beginning with a shimmering guitar line backed by synth strings, this one quietly sidles into your backbrain with very little fanfare; the twin-vocal tracks of Rick Flynn and Clare Szembek act as a guiding light through the fairly innocuous bass-driven proceedings - and then the addictive singalong chorus arrives. It's a tender slice of summer pop.
But while the craft and talent that went into 'Glorious' is obvious, there is the sinking feeling (as there was with 'Broke') that it wouldn't be much fun to sit through an album of this sort of thing. Flynn and Co have proved, undoubtably, that they have what it takes to compose a catchy pop single. So far, so good. Here's hoping it continues to get better.

This is one of...
...the most vile records ever.
It reminds of that hit Sharon and Kelvin from Eastenders had in the mid 80's.

.
Isn't this their third single? Frontline was the first and by far the best

I don't really 'get,' this tune.

I think
They are an incredible band. I've been listening to the whole album for weeks! It really took me by surprise.

i've been wondering

Lovin it!
Can't help but love the Captain sound, managed to get an advance copy of the album and can assure any doubters that it is a pleasurable listen from start to finish.. with tracks like Summer Rain and Accidie which complement Broke, Glorious etc and ensure Nick it reaches deep places and is in no way a hard listen. Quite the opposite! x

so are you from...
their press company or their record label? this record is one stinking turd. you can get trevor horn to polish it for you but it's still a turd.
i cannot honestly understand anyone liking this record on musical terms, it's bland beyond belief, it actually makes razorlight seem somehow acceptable.
-
fair enough..
people are into different stuff, guess that's a big part of life.. you're obviously completely wrong though. This record rocks.
-

i hope they pay you well for trying to promote this rubbish.
